Juniper Bends formed in early 2021 is a three piece band hailing from Rhode Island. The band is made up of three long term friends who have always bonded over their shared love of music. After playing in numerous other lineups with each other over their early teen years Lance Collins (Singer / Guitarist), Owen Lamberto (Bass) and Conrad Drezek (Drummer) found themselves in a decidedly different direction. Their sound is a mix of Alt Country, Indie and Folk music. A stark contrast to their earlier projects that were more math rock oriented. The band began to play out together notably at the now defunct Psych Shack in eastern Connecticut.
2022 Saw the release of Juniper Bends’ first release. A split EP with their close counter parts “8th Grade Slowdance” entitled “Slowbends”. JB’s side of the split was marked with energetic guitar parts and heart felt lyrics as well as trippy sound design and textural instrumentation. The EP saw a cassette tape release thanks to “Chirp Records” as well as some garnering interest from “Chillwave Records” who posted their tracks on their Youtube Channel. Juniper Bends also had some notable performances in 2022. Some of these shows included a grass roots charity show in support of “Food Not Bombs” . An effort that was able to raise over $1,200 for the charity. The band also performed alongside Addie at the University of Rhode Island and some of Connecticut's finest musicians at 2022’s “Empty Fest”.
2023 Sees Juniper Bends Continuing to work on their upcoming debut album slated to come out in the early summer of this year. The album will be an exciting fusion of Indie, Alt Country, Folk and Ambient music with overarching themes of self worth, growth, friendship and personal struggles.
